🌿 About Me

This is who I am. This is what I stand for. This is the lens through which I see, create, and live.

I am Thapasya Thankaraj, a woman who lives fully, feels deeply, and moves through the world on her own terms. I do not follow what the world tells me I should be; I follow how I feel, how I perceive, how I connect. I am independent, confident, and committed to living authentically, guided by empathy, ethics, and a deep respect for all beings.

I love exploring life in every form. Dancing, writing poems and prose, painting, pottery, photography, hiking, traveling, striking up a conversation with a stranger on a bus, or forging a new friendship over coffee or under a waterfall. Every experience, every encounter teaches me something new about people, the world, and myself. I embrace the unexpected, the unconventional, and the meaningful.

I grew up reading voraciously, on trains, buses, everywhere I could, and it shaped my mind, my imagination, and my voice. Writing has always been my fulfillment, my way of making sense of the world, my means of translating observation, emotion, and thought into something tangible. Every story I tell, every word I craft, carries intention, care, and reflection.

I am deeply aware of society’s inequities. I value the downtrodden, the overlooked, and the marginalised. I think about the impact of my actions, striving to live in ways that never harm another. Respect, compassion, and thoughtfulness are my guiding principles. My feminist perspective shapes not only how I live but also how I see the world, always questioning, always seeking equality, always standing for what matters.

My experiences, reading countless books, watching films that linger, meeting people whose stories stay with me, visiting places that expand my perspective, and holding memories of my family including my mother, sister, father, and grandparents, have all shaped the person I am today. My life has not been without challenges, childhood and adolescent experiences in a male-dominated society, moments of mental and physical strain, and personal struggles have only strengthened my resolve, my empathy, and my understanding of the human experience.

I trust myself. I am confident in my choices and my instincts. I carry a steadfast belief in positivity and possibility, even when life is hard. I move through the world intentionally, creatively, and consciously, seeking meaning, connection, and growth in everything I do.
